Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated AI Project Manager to ensure efficient planning, coordination, and delivery of ongoing AI support services and feature enhancements. This role oversees timelines, stakeholder communications, and resource alignment for AI system improvements, maintenance cycles, and integration work. The AI Project Manager bridges the gap between technical and business functions, enabling smooth operation and strategic progress of our AI solutions post-deployment while managing the complexities of data-driven, iterative AI development processes.
Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
Develop and implement comprehensive project management strategies, plans, and objectives for AI/ML projects
Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope requirements
Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of AI/ML models according to project specifications
Manage support team workflows and schedules for continuous AI service improvement and feature development
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Foster and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, providing regular project updates and managing expectations
Coordinate stakeholder communications and client updates, ensuring transparency and alignment
Serve as primary point of contact for prioritization of support tickets, feature requests, and enhancement initiatives
Create comprehensive reports and presentations, communicating project status, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership
Risk Management & Quality Assurance
Ensure efficient and effective delivery of AI/ML projects, proactively managing risks and resolving issues as they arise
Facilitate reviewing and approving project deliverables, ensuring high-quality standards are met
Help ensure that compliance, documentation, and quality standards are upheld throughout project lifecycle
Analyze data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making and project optimization
Team Leadership & Process Improvement
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project team members, facilitating collaboration and ensuring alignment with project goals
Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
Monitor and report on KPIs related to AI system usage, responsiveness, support efficiency, and business impact
Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of services and products
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Project Management, or related field
3-5+ years of experience in project management roles, with demonstrated focus on AI/ML or technology projects
Proven track record in successfully delivering AI/ML projects, demonstrating strong project management capabilities
PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification preferred
Project Management Expertise
Deep understanding of project management principles, techniques, and methodologies
Expertise in agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with experience facilitating agile ceremonies
Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, Monday.com) and productivity platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven decision-making approach
AI/ML Domain Knowledge
Proficiency in AI/ML technologies, models, and techniques with understanding of development lifecycles
Familiarity with AI systems, prompt iteration cycles, and support frameworks
Understanding of the complexities and iterative nature of AI/ML development processes
Knowledge of data governance, model deployment, and AI system maintenance requirements
Leadership & Communication Skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities with experience inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams
Ability to translate technical constraints and concepts into clear business terms and vice versa
Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Project Management
5+ years of project management experience specifically with AI/ML initiatives
Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms and deployment processes
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and responsible AI principles
Experience in regulated industries or enterprise software environments
Advanced project management certifications (PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe)
Experience with budget management and resource allocation for technical projects
